Parade with the scooter gang

Well I wasn't Ms. Lexington, and didn't get to sit in the back of a convertible in my prom dress with a crown atop my head, waving to the people lining the streets, but we were in the 4th of July parade.
The Vespa store in Lexington asked us to ride along with some other scooters in town. I was not super excited about the idea but Grant REALLY wanted to so I conceded and we rode.
Unfortunately it was not a very nice day, sprinkled on us for most of the time, and we were at the end of the parade so had to wait over an hour before we even started moving, and then when we did move it was so slow you could barely take your feet of the ground.
But, we did it, helped support the local Vespa store, showed our American pride adorned in red, white, and blue with flag decals on the scooter, etc. and the picture below is all of us (including a few motorcycles in the back which weren't really part of our group...they were named "Fantasy Queens Motorcycle Club"...interesting).
I told Grant he'll have to wait til we have kids to ride in another one :)

You may have to reconsider: you're pretty darn cute on that Vespa!

  5. ya that doesn't sound like much fun - not being able to take your feet off the ground cause you are going s slow --- BUT Scooter RALLIES on the other hand are way different and way fun. If one comes along you must try it. (just don't stay around too long - lots of beer and scooters don't mix)
