I used a recipe from the William Sonoma cake book (pictured above) and it turned out amazing! On each layer of cake I drizzled cocoa syrup to moisten the cake, and then put ganache between each layer. I finished it off with chocolate buttercream icing and white chocolate lettering and designs and a few milk chocolate curls.Thursday, August 13, 2009

This is enough chocolate to induce a chocolate overdose, but when I asked Travis what kind of cake Beth wanted for her birthday, he said "chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, she can't get enough of it." So, I used all of the chocolate pictured below to make this triple chocolate, devil's food, layered cake.

I'm dying here. For some reason my "Smart Ones" frozen dinner just isn't doing it for me tonight. :(
ReplyDeleteThat looks so good and also looks like I could eat 4 bites before it was too rich! I would love every bit though!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is making me hungry Taryn! I'm not even a chocolate lover, but I love hearing how you put things together and decorate them. (And that BBQ chicken pizza looks amazing too). I guess this is what happens when you're a descendant of a Grandma who grew up on a cattle ranch--we all love food!
