Last night, I hosted "Taste Night" and it was SO much fun. I love this time of year, with all my Halloween decorations, etc. I lit candles in my illuminating decorations, transformed my kitchen into the ultimate buffet, and filled my living room with about 12-14 awesome girls. I loved it. When people find out I don't really like games or movies and ask, "What do you like to do then?"....This is what I like to do. Eat and talk! It was like the ultimate soup and salad bar with about 5 soups, 7 salads, and 2 kinds of bread. I honestly could not pick my favorite of anything, it was all amazing!
Here is a list of just some of the dishes we enjoyed: Pomegranate salad, Caprese Salad, Wonton Salad, Chicken Salad, Strawberry Vinaigrette and salad, Pumpkin Apple Curry Soup, 15 bean soup, Beef minestrone, Chicken and Wild Rice, French baguette, and Corn bread muffins with honey butter. There were a few others, but I can't remember the names of them. My goal was to get a picture of everything, but I got too wrapped up in tasting, and it's hard to take good pictures of soup. Here are a few good pictures I took though.
thats so funny! i have been meaning to call our "relief society meeting" (wink) coordinator to see if i could head up a group like this. i'll have to email you with my questions to find out the best way to run it. looks so yummy!

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing you girls do! That's such a good idea. I wished the ladies in my ward liked to cook. There's only about 3 of us. I want to eat all of that food right now.
