And finally...don't think I spent my entire weekend eating desserts and sitting at the pool. My #1 stop is always the beach. I think I could be happy going to the beach every day of my life. I love the way it sounds, looks, feels, smells, etc. I love that I can get a "workout" while I'm out there swimming against the crashing waves. I love that it's hard to get in because the cold stings a little bit, but once you've braved it, it feels wonderful. And I can't imagine a better place to lay out than on the sand with the warm sun, slight breeze, and sound of the ocean.

And I loved every minute of it with my family there...

We all went and got pedicures the day before (on our "shopping day")...

What a pretty sight...freshly painted toes on the beach ;)

Then we spent the afternoon doing some of my favorite things...

Laying out (yes, my tank top tan from all that half marathon training is still very evident)...

Boogie boarding (we had really good sized waves the entire weekend!)

And...eating In-N-Out. Cheeseburger Animal Style no tomato plus fresh onions, and we shared some fries and a Neapolitan shake. Dang that makes the lunch I just ate sound gross now...I want another burger!

My dad unfortunately missed that beach day as he had to be at his conference, but we did it all over again the next day, and it was awesome once again!

One day I hope to live close enough to the ocean to make this at least a weekly occurrence :)
