Brooke's birthday

Since before I arrived on island, I had heard about these incredible nail salons in Okinawa. Being a huge fan of pedicures, I was pretty excited about it. I had heard they were inexpensive too (which turned out to not really be true) but for $40, I thought it was totally worth the money! I had been wanting an excuse to go, so for Brooke's birthday we made an appointment (which we had to book 2 weeks out). We went to Cocok on the Seawall and it was so much fun. They served candy, tea and teriyaki chicken skewers (which was better than any chicken I've had at a restaurant here so far) and the chairs were so comfy and the appointment lasted for 90 minutes. Awesome massage and foot care, etc.

The nail art options were completely overwhelming. They had a binder with over 100 pages of art designs and then these wooden boards with samples as well. It was SO hard to decide.

We made Brooke wear this pink tiara around all night for her birthday...and then we showered her with pink gifts and cupcakes and she got pink toenails...I would say it was a perfect pink party like we had planned.

And here is the nail design I decided on. A peacock! So random but I thought it was different and really fun :) The detail is incredible!

After nails we walked on the seawall for a few minutes and then headed to Jai Thai for dinner.

Birthday girl waiting for thai!

Our dinner was delicious, but we waited a REALLY long time for our food and we were SO starving already. Luckily, the food was delicious! The thai food here is some of my favorite that we've had. Happy birthday Brooke, so glad you were here to celebrate :)
