My mom is a pancake lover and we always love an excuse to try something new (Cafe Hanon), so we decided to go out for pancakes on Saturday morning at a place my friend Rhonda recommended. I had seen her Instagram posts of her adorable coffee with a bear on top, etc. so I knew it was going to be cute, but I didn't expect to love it quite as much as I did :) It was a relatively nice morning so we opted to sit outside...and I was so glad we did. We were the first people there (they don't open until 9) and had the whole balcony to ourselves for awhile!
It is located on the seawall in American Village...
I really don't ever buy Rowan a kid's meal because I think they're a waste of money most of the time and he's good about sharing with us, however, this one was too cute to resist and only about $4. All of the dishes came with a side of ice cream. Rowan got 3 tiny scoops of different flavors ;)
It's been so nice to have my mom here. We've had a good balance of going out and having fun and also regaining order and normalcy at home with two kids. We have one more week to party. I know my dad misses her, but "Mimi" will be missed here when she leaves us!
Family of FOUR photo!
Goof ball :)
The people who worked there were SO friendly, and our waitress spoke English so well. She asked us if it would be ok for her to take our picture to put on their blog. She loved both Rowan and Boden and of course we obliged.
We spent 1.5 hours there enjoying our food and the scenery. After she cleared our plates she said that we could sit back, relax and take a nap if we wanted ;) I sat there thinking for the first time in awhile that I love living here and didn't want to leave. There are a lot of annoyances and frustrations with living here so moments like these are awesome.
