We love having the Finlaysons here with us, someone fun and comfortable to adventure or just hang out with. I'd been wanting to check out this new exploration area in Balboa Park and they decided to join us. It's an area full of all kinds of sticks...and it's somewhat contained so the kids can't get too far away. It was perfect! They loved collecting sticks and building things with them. Perfect activity for the morning.
In some ways it seems kind of silly to have an "nature area"...why not just go into the woods? But I really loved it. It was a safe place for them to explore and play...and then we were only 5 mins from one of our favorite lunch places..The Station, where we loaded up on tater tots and got to play on the train while we waited for food :) Love fun mornings like this!
