Hello Fall!

As it started to feel a bit more like fall right before we left for San Diego, I got worried that I would miss the peak of the fall colors. Luckily, that was not the case! I tried to make sure that we did some fun fall stuff since the kids have never really experienced a real fall like we have here. There were leaves in San Diego that changed, but that was the extent of it. Next to Rowan's school was a church that was selling pumpkins. In an attempt to get people to come buy them they had this cute little patch just sitting out front...so we jumped on the chance to take a few pics :)
The real story behind the pictures...poor Dylan.
 Love these boys
Another part of fall that we thoroughly enjoyed was watching all the leaves change at Lake Needwood right by our house. There are fun little paths to explore all around the house and we tried to get out as much as possible while the leaves changed! The colors apparently weren't quite as vibrant this year because they need lots of rain and cold nights which we didn't have a ton of (I'm not really complaining about that part though). It was still a gorgeous sight.
While Grant's parents were here we went on a little nature hike/collection and collected pretty leaves and acorns that had fallen. They came home and did leaf rubbings and Grandma used the acorns for a little crafting.
The boys loved showing them around their trails. Boden reminds us every time we see the lake (which is pretty much daily as we drive anywhere) that it is where Grant took them fishing!
I am trying to embrace the positive things here, and this is definitely one of them! Happy fall. (now can we jump straight to spring ;)
