As we peeled the wallpaper back, you can see that it revealed so many fun colors underneath. Sort of looked like a sunset when it was all peeled off :) We added to our collection of wallpaper scraps, Minnie Mouse and blue glitter (yes, they painted directly over glitter textured wallpaper).
The base coat of green already made it feel 100x brighter and better in there. I love it. Color=grape leaves
Then we finished with a little bit lighter venetian (grass cloth), and some chair rail. And here is the final product. I am proud to say that all of the rooms in our house are now complete except the bathrooms! (and painting the railing in the loft).
Where's Taryn? Inspiration for this room was this beautiful painting outfit :)(not really but it was a fun coincidence).

ReplyDeleteGrass cloth is the venetian plaster we have in our dinning room! You're may be just that tad brighter b/c of your undercoat. It looks great! Your house is so fun. I'm hoping to get our hall bathroom painted this week. You guys are great motivation. :) Thanks.
