I love Martha Stewart's Everyday Food magazine and book (which is really just a collection of recipes from the magazine). If you don't have it, get it! There is a picture with EVERY recipe (something I find very important when choosing what I want to make). I like to see what the end product is supposed to look like before I start the preparation journey. So here is the recipe (click the picture to enlarge).
*The only thing I did differently was added a bunch of artichoke hearts, because I had them, and I love them. Whole Foods had some good sun-dried tomatoes so I got those there, and then I just sliced some mushrooms, bought a provolone-mozarella blend (because I didn't want to pay for deli cheese and that's all I could find in the cheese aisle) and it was seriously amazing. I would have ordered this dish at Macaroni Grill or somewhere like it. Ok, I don't want anyone to get too excited and then have this not live up to your expectations, so just try it and I hope you like it as much as we did :)
Looks sooo tasty. Please ship us some.
ReplyDeleteyum! I love food!
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for the recipe idea! I need stuff like this. Do me a favor and whenever you cook a good meal, just post it on your blog. It will save me hours of looking for recipes online. Okay, so that might be a lot to ask...but still, thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious! I LOVE Everyday Food. I need to actually get the subscription though. Hey, I have a recipe I need to e-mail you because it made me think of you... I remember you made pesto with all of your garden basil last summer and I made a pesto chicken pizza last night that was awesome. I used pre-made pesto, but your homemade would probably be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI agree that pictures are fantastic in a cookbook to help motivate you to try a recipe.
ReplyDeleteOh, and that school picture of
Grant from a few posts back is so darling! I can't believe he said he was shy?!
oh my...that looks amazing. I already printed it off and am going to try it asap!! THANKS!
ReplyDeleteI made the peanut butter cookies and they seemed to like them. Soon I will try this one too. Martha... (i really like her...stuff) can't say that too loud so many don't.
ReplyDeleteGosh I am behind on your blog.
ReplyDeleteWe made this when we got our mag, too! It is tasty!!!!!!
