Tiny treasures

I wanted to capture just how little our beautiful baby was because I knew he would be growing up fast. Grant used his dental skills and we casted Rowan's hands and feet. We hung out in the lab for an hour or so after his bilirubin check when he was 3 days old and made molds of his adorable hands and feet. It is essentially the same as getting impressions made of your mouth at the dentist office...only a little trickier :) People keep saying if Grant gets sick of dentistry, he can go into business making these.
After making the impression, you pour the stone in, and then after it fully sets up you peel the material off the outside. Here is the process of peeling it off his little foot :)
The final products! I am so happy with them and know I will appreciate them more and more as he gets bigger and bigger.
I love that it captures every single detail (his fingernails, creases in his fingers, etc)
So grateful that we took the time out to do this even though it wasn't extremely convenient.

  1. We did these for our babes and it is well worth it. Very frustrating at times, but so glad we did it.
