On the last day of Jen's visit, we decided to head to the Miramar Air Show. Grant's clinic was in charge of working at a food booth for fundraising for the clinic, and had a shift scheduled for both weekend days. Luckily, we ended up not having to work the second day, but we decided to take the kids to see the planes. It was super hot but we still had fun for the short time we were there. The last time we were at the Miramar Air Show was when I was about 8 weeks pregnant with Rowan, and just being there brought back a queasy deja vu, haha. But good memories.
It was fun to share the experience with the kids! At one point in the Blue Angels Show, a plane came low and from behind us and we looked back and Boden was squatted down with his hands over his head. It was so cute and sad. Freaked him out but he loved it otherwise!
We then got to walk around a see a few planes, one of which had seats like we had traveled on the first time we flew on a military plane home from Okinawa. It was fun to show Grant and Jen what our experience on that plane was like!
