Rhonda visits from Oki!

Although we were really excited to move to San Diego, leaving Oki was still hard! There's a lot we miss about it, and one of those things was Rhonda! So, you can imagine my excitement when we texted to see if she could come visit us here. She had just finished her online BSN degree and her birthday was coming up, so she decided San Diego was the best way to celebrate...and we couldn't have been happier about it!
Although she was mostly coming to see us, it was also her first time in San Diego, so we wanted to make sure she had a great time! The weather could not have cooperated better, so for that we were definitely grateful. Every day was sunny and gorgeous! To top it off, having someone visit from overseas is always awesome because you get to relive the excitement of having American food and shopping, etc all over again. She posted a pic on facebook of her holding a Satrbucks cup in Target and the jealousy of everyone there was through the roof, so funny.
For the most part we hung out, shopped and ate. It was perfect. I loved having a live in hang out friend. Wish she could have stayed longer! We love you Rhonda.
La Jolla cove with the stinky sea lions
SeaPort Village...kids got to hang out on a firetruck for a few mins
And a walk along the harbor and through town to Extraordinary Desserts!
Mexican food and a bon fire in the backyard
A walk through Balboa Park before heading to the airport.
What was not pictured was the large amount of shopping we did. Thanks so Grant for watching the kids so we could do some real shopping. It was so much fun! She's the perfect shopping partner because, like I said, we're deprived in Oki, so she had lots she wanted to buy.
The kids also love her, so it was so fun to see them back together. Thanks for visiting!
