The 100th Dental Corps birthday ball was one of the first things we went to as a new military couple, fresh out of dental school. It has since become a tradition each August. I missed out on it last year because I was full term pregnant and we had just moved here, but I was glad to have the opportunity to go this year. In reality, it is an overpriced not great meal, but it's fun to dress up and forces us to go on a date which we are not always great at doing. My cousin and her daughters were kind enough to watch the boys. We had a busy day with Ehtan's 1st bday party in Virginia just before, so got ready in like 20 minutes at their house and then headed to the Naval Academy where the event took place.
The cocktail hour was in a box that overlooked the field which was kind of fun.
The dinner, program and dancing were down a few floors and made for a fun evening with our dental friends (both old and new) that attended.
Our table! There was a couple who was in Oki with us, Blake and Amy (current co resident) and Jenny who was in the GPR at Pendleton with us (and at the 100th birthday ball back in San Diego our first year!) Grant got the "2 nut" piece of cake.
Endo residents (minus Kat) and the Admiral of the Dental Corps
