Christmas Even morning we got up with excitement to all be together and know that we had the next several days off together. I went for a run and then we ventured out to meet Mike and Alexa at the Rockville Town Square ice rink. Rowan loved ice skating last year and was anxious to go again. Boden did not really like it last year but this year he did great and loved it so much more. The first few minutes started off rocky (I thought it was going to be a long couple hours) but after a few minutes on the ice they were much more comfortable and having fun.
Grant sat on the side with Dylan for the majority but in the end borrowed Mike's skates and came out with us for awhile which was fun :)
For lunch and the afternoon we headed to the Thackers for an awesome appetizer party. The Thackers, Fullers, Curtis' and us all brought a few appetizers each and had the perfect spread. It was great company and food. We went caroling to a few neighbors houses, played a few games (kids did a gift exchange that was really fun).
We came home for the evening and did a quick little nativity play. Boden played Mary, a shepherd and a wiseman :) Rowan wasn't feeling great so after leading the donkey to Bethlehem he sat and watched the rest of it :) Dylan wouldn't leave his costume on but he pretended to participate for a bit.
Finally we put out Santa cookies and got ready for bed so that Santa could come!!
