These smiles on Christmas morning are what it's all about!
I was shocked that the kids all slept until 7am on Christmas morning. That is later than they sleep on normal days! Rowan thought he would be too excited to fall asleep the night before but then had no problem and even slept in! This might be the last year they aren't all bursting into our room at 5am.
Santa brought Dylan a ride on fire truck...
Boden and Rowan got remote control rock climber/monster trucks...
And everyone was super excited about their gifts...
Kids also got some fun legos this year too...the start of the legos in our household.
I made bread pudding for breakfast. It was nice because I was able to make it the day before so no prep that morning...just reheated and ate. It was definitely like dessert for breakfast, so good! The boys' remote control trucks joined us at the table for breakfast.
Happy boys! (and Dylan started walking on Christmas eve, so that was a little Christmas miracle too). He had been ready to do it for so long but finally decided he was confident enough to make it happen.
After our fun filled morning of presents and treats, we headed over to Mike and Alexa's for a delicious meal and to hang out (and open more presents and play games). It was a perfect rest of the day, spending some time with our friend family.
Twister after a big meal was just what we all needed ;) It was hilarious and the kids were way better at it than I thought they would be! It was fun for all of us.
