Santa at the USO

We were very excited to see that the USO would be hosting a Santa dinner again. We had a great time last year despite the kids being sick, and this year everyone was healthy and felt great so we knew it would be fun. Rowan and Boden both wrote him letters of what they wanted (remote control monster trucks and legos), they wore their Santa race car shirts and matching flannels and we were ready to see the man in red!
Santa walked around between tables while we ate dinner and Rowan was so excited every time he came by. Boden was a little wary of him but not nearly as freaked out as last year (when he would not even go near him). They both were excited to sit on his lap and give him their lists.
Dylan on the other hand was NOT excited to see Santa (poor guy).
I was also in last year's picture (although this year holding a different kid). Last year Dylan was asleep in Santa's arms and Boden was freaking out in mine, and this year Boden was cool with Santa (he realized that he brings awesome presents), but Dylan doesn't quite understand that yet ;)
Such a fun night and perfect that it was early in the Christmas season so we could solidify their Santa wish list. We continue to be grateful for the amazing USO at Walter Reed for continually putting on great events like this.
