Last Saturday I had to work, but luckily it was one of my 8 hour shifts, so I got off at 3! The boys came down to visit and then hang out afterwards. We decided to ride the ferris wheel in American Village. We have been putting it off for the perfect day for 2 years now and it was finally a beautiful day...super clear and not hot or humid. We headed over there to find out that it was closed for maintenance (but would reopen the next day!) Talk about unlucky. However, the entrance is in this little game area, so we let Rowan play a few games before heading out. First we "bonked the alligator nose with the drum" and then played with this super awesome digger. This digger was actually really nice and probably a little complex for him but with some help he did awesome. This was over a week ago and still almost every day Rowan says "Ferris wheel closed, bonk alligator on nose and play with digger". So cute :)
It was also the weekend after Thanksgiving, which would usually be when we go buy our Christmas tree. However, we actually managed to keep our "Christmas tree" alive this year, so we just grabbed some poinsettias to put around it, to make it a little more Christmasy.
Afterwards, we decided to try out an Indian restaurant I've been wanting to try for awhile now, Bollywood Dreams. We had to wait for a little while...but it was worth it!
The biggest "wow" factor was the gigantic garlic naan! It was the perfect compliment for our butter chicken and coconut chicken curry.
And finally we took a walk around American village which is pretty awesome this time of year when they have all of the lights and decorations up.
Rowan was checking to see if he was on the "nice" list because he wants a trash truck for Christmas!
Had a wonderful night with my favorite people :)
