Our third day started out just like every other. Run in the morning with breakfast on the lanai, continually amazed by this unbelievable view.
However, we had quite the day planned, which began at the Aloha Stadium swap meet. It is definitely the best place to acquire any "Hawaii" type souvenirs you might want to take home. Because I had already done it a few times before I wasn't looking for a lot, but I have been wanting a new wedding ring (not a replacement, just one without a diamond that I can wear for work and vacation). We have also been on the lookout for a new ring for Grant since he lost his a few years back. He did make himself a new one, but I still wanted to get him a new one. So...we found the perfect thing on our shopping excursion this morning. Matching titanium and Koa wood rings. We LOVE them!
We then headed across the street to Pearl Harbor and did the USS Arizona Memorial tour. It has been powerful every time I've seen it, but this was my first time going since Grant joined the Navy, so I think it hit a little closer to home.
Instead of taking the short route home, we decided to do our own little circle island tour. I was the tour guide and got to show my family where I had lived, gone to school, enjoyed beaches, etc. It was awesome (hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as me :)Our first stop was China Man's hat. We decided not to take the hike out to it like I've done a few times before, but it makes for a fun picture backdrop and we enjoyed playing in the sand for a bit.
Next stop was Laie (the city where I lived/went to school). This is a rock off "the point"-the street where I lived.
We drove around campus, by the temple, stopped at the fruit stand and then headed home for some delicious dinner. My dad and Grant put the shrimp and steak on the grill and then chilled in some chairs, watching the ocean while we smelled it all cook.
Enjoying our dinner together.
And the gorgeous sunset we enjoyed during dessert.

Taryn your trip looks so amazing. Glad you are having a blast! If Dave and I ever make it to Hawaii I will definitely have to consult you on what to do/where to go/stay. All of you pictures are just gorgeous! Love them all!
