Outdoor spaces

Moving here was quite the contrast from our last move to Kentucky. When we moved to Lexington, we wasted no time before we started ripping the house apart, beginning the full home remodel. This time we are renting and probably only in this home for a year, so obviously there are far fewer projects. We are pretty much unpacked and feeling settled, so we decided to focus one little project on a part of our home that was not quite complete...the outdoor space.

Like the bench from the last post, we already had the base to this table, but never had a top...so we decided to create one. We bought some cheap plywood from Lowes, had them cut it to the size we needed and then brought it home to stain and waterproof. We picked a fun beachy grey color that I love.

Every Thursday there is a fun farmers market where they sell small succulent plants. We thought they would be a fun addition to our table and require very little care.
And so we could enjoy the beautiful table we had created, we needed chairs! So...I found these fun turquoise Adirondack chairs on clearance at Target and they were the perfect final touch.
This is probably the best space "in" our condo, because of this view... (again, the reason we had to make a way to enjoy this area)
And last night we tested it out...dinner success!
And although we are loving California, we are sure to represent our Kentucky pride from time to time (Ale 8 and a UK glass :)
Who wants to come enjoy dinner on the patio with us?!
