Lahaina

Monday we spent the day in Lahaina (just a few miles south of where we were staying). It was a REALLY cute little city, right along the ocean. It had a lot of fun shops and of course the beautiful view!
Right in the middle of town is this huge area of Banyan trees...fun shady spot to hang out to break from shopping (to determine the magnitude of these trees, you can see me in the middle in orange).

There were these "cute" little guys all over town and Grant did some good impressions.

We headed to the beach to eat some yummy sandwiches we had brought...
And then some stayed at the beach for the afternoon, and some of us went to explore the rest of the shops. (I was determined to find a new dress!)
I love that the streets are lined with fruit trees. Here was a banana tree and some pineapples just growing on the side of the road!
We drove home right around sunset and thought we would miss it if we went all the way home, so we stopped at a little park about a mile from home and watched the sun sink into the sea!
Shopping, beach, family, fun...it was a pretty awesome day!
