We've been here for 3 years and we're still finding new beaches...wishing we had found this beach 3 years ago. It was AWESOME! It felt more like Hawaii than Okinawa. The sand was soft and beautiful, there were small waves that were fun to play in, and the snorkeling was great! We left right after breakfast and played hard until about 1:30pm. The kids crashed almost immediately on the drive home and took a great nap. I even took a nap when we got home...we were worn out!
With only 6 weeks left on island, we are really trying to make the most of our time here!
This beach was AMAZING! This picture shows exactly what the colors looked like. This water...it's clear, turquoise, and my favorite color ever. Contrast that with the blue sky and white puffy clouds...paradise.
Grant went out snorkeling first and found a bunch of blue starfish, so brought one back for the kids to see. I had said the day before that i really wanted Boden to get to see and hold a blue starfish before we left because we had a bunch of pictures with Rowan with them. It was perfect!
Boden loved it :)
He loved it so much that he decided to suck the sand off his leg :) (no starfish were harmed. We returned him back to his home on the coral reef)
After the boys came back, Barb and I headed out while the boys watched the kids (the perks of going with other people). Love my pregnant snorkel buddy :)
Love these perfect mornings at the beach. It's crazy how different the beach in California will be. We will miss a lot about Okinawa beaches, but we are really excited about some things about California beaches too!
So much fun! Glad you continue to find new sites on Okinawa. You will miss that beautiful color and the lack of beach dwellers.
